Raleigh

The capital of North Carolina, Raleigh was named after the famous English adventurer and writer, Sir Walter Raleigh. There are plenty of things to do and see here and finding cheap hotels in Raleigh is incredible easy. Overall, the hotels are reasonably priced and you don’t need to do much searching to find a good deal.

There are many museums to visit in Raleigh, including the fun Marbles Kid’s Museum, filled with activities for your little ones. If you like to spend time in the nature, the nature parks are great for hiking, biking or canoeing. Don’t forget to check out the many shopping centers where you can find anything from bargains to well known brands.

It makes sense to try to find cheap hotels in Raleigh right in downtown, where you’ll be close to everything: from museums, to shops and restaurants. However, if you really want to save some money, look for hotels located further from the hustle and bustle of the downtown. The public transport city is a great way to move from one place to another so you don’t really need to worry much about the location. Motels and inns can be found anywhere and the prices are great.

Some of the budget hotels worth checking out in Raleigh include: Red Roof Inn Raleigh Downtown NCSU (close to the New Raleigh Convention Center, wi-fi, pets allowed, complimentary coffee) , Sleep Inn (107 rooms, free internet, free breakfast, free coffee, outdoor pool) and Holiday Inn Raleigh-North (128 rooms, 3 miles from downtown, fitness center, wi-fi).
