Lucerne is a charming little city in the heart of Switzerland, known for the magnificent Chapel Bridge. The Old Town is remarkably well preserved. Taking the world’s steepest cogwheel railway to the top of Mount Pilatus can be a real adventure. Lucrne is linked to the legend of William Tell (the apple & the boy). Most attractions are located within or close to the Old Town and Chapel Bridge. However, there are also incredible places to visit further from the city center.
