Cleveland

Cleveland may have once been the butt of many jokes, but these days the city is becoming a city worth visiting and a great city to live in. Downtown Cleveland is not far from the shores of Lake Erie, so there is every reason it should be a pleasant place to be a tourist – any city on water has that going for it! But more than that, this city has some excellent museums, sports teams, and restaurants, and – thankfully for you – there are lots of cheap hotels in Cleveland.

A good number of the hotels in the city have names you will recognize – they are branches of the big chains that pop up in every major city around the world. There are high-end hotels in this city, to be sure, but even those are branches of big name hotels. So it should not be a surprise to notice that even the cheap hotels in Cleveland are some of those big-name hotels as well. The city is big enough to also have a scattering of more charming (and usually more expensive) guest houses and B&Bs, but sometimes these offer great specials and deals, so you might want to check those out as well.

The name Cleveland may be synonymous with rock music for some people, with good reason. This is the city where the term “rock n’roll” was coined, and it is the home of the Rock n’Roll Hall of Fame. But there are other excellent museums and art galleries here, as well as lots of great restaurants and charming shops. Plus, sports fans have several sports to choose from – depending on the season – to catch a game while they are in town. There really is something for everyone here.

A few of the cheap hotels in Cleveland you might want to consider are Comfort Inn Downtown (in downtown, 130 rooms, free WiFi access, free continental breakfast, fitness center, pet friendly, parking available for a fee, on-site restaurant, laundry facilities), Hampton Inn Cleveland (in downtown, walking distance from many attractions, 194 rooms, free hot breakfast buffet, free internet access, parking available for a fee, fitness center, laundry service), Holiday Inn Express Downtown (in downtown, walking distance from many attractions, 141 rooms, free WiFi & internet access, fitness center, game room), and Holiday Inn Select Lakeshore (in downtown, on Lake Erie, 377 rooms, free internet access, indoor pool & whirlpool, game room, fitness center, parking available for a fee, fitness center, laundry facilities).
