Cuba

Cuba has been somewhat frozen in time since the 1950s as far as U.S. travelers are concerned, but all that could be changing soon – so it is a great idea to start thinking about your upcoming trip to this Caribbean island! It is, in fact, the biggest island in the Caribbean – and there are plenty of historic sights, amazing food, and legendary nightlife. While tourism from the U.S. has been strictly limited in the recent past, tourists have been enjoying the island for years, so there are lots of cheap hotels in Cuba to choose from.

Your options when searching for cheap hotels in Cuba include things you might not think about when looking for lodging in other parts of the world. If you are really on a tight budget, often the cheapest way to go is to book a room in a private home (called casas particulares) – it is one part B&B and one part guest house, and you will find them all over Cuba. Not only do they offer a great deal, you will get to meet the locals, too. In the larger towns and cities you will find more plentiful choices for more traditional hotels, including many that are restored colonial mansions.

No matter where you are going in Cuba, you can start your hunt for cheap hotels in Cuba by looking on the city-specific pages listed below – like the one about cheap hotels in Havana. On those pages you will find more information about that city, along with individual hotel recommendations. If you do not see the cities you are visiting listed below, however, you can still find a place to stay – just put your travel information into the search box at the top of this page and you will get a list of hotels that are available when you want to go, for any destination in Cuba.
