Los Angeles

The sprawled-out size of Los Angeles can make finding a cheap hotel in Los Angeles seem like a really daunting task, especially if you do not know the area very well. You could think you have found a really great deal, only to arrive and discover that it is miles away from any of the things you wanted to see or do. So, the location of the hotel in relation to the area attractions is important to keep in mind when doing your research.

In general, you can usually find cheap hotels in Los Angeles in the areas around Glendale or Pasadena, but these are not neighborhoods that are in downtown Los Angeles or even near the local beaches, so be sure you know how long it will take to get from your hotel to the sights. For those of you looking to save money on your hotel while visiting Disneyland, try the area around Costa Mesa – as an added bonus, it is also close to the beach.

Downtown Los Angeles is home to lots of hotels that cater to business travelers, and Hollywood is a great option for tourists who are hoping to find a hotel near the sights they want to see. No matter where you end up staying, however, unless you do not plan to venture beyond where your feet can carry you, you will need to become familiar with LA’s public transportation system to help you get around and see the rest of the city. Unfortunately, it is not the most efficient public transportation system, so be sure to know what you are doing before you hop on that bus!

Some of the cheap hotels in Los Angeles that you might want to check out are Best Western Hollywood Hills Hotel (located in the heart of Hollywood, walking distance from many area attractions), Hollywood Hotel (130 rooms in a modern hotel located in Hollywood), Motel 6 Hollywood (located in Hollywood, clean and basic hotel), Courtyard Los Angeles Pasadena (in Old Town Pasadena, more than 300 rooms, near Universal Studios), and Holiday Inn Express Pasadena (81 rooms near Old Town Pasadena, 15 minute drive into downtown Los Angeles).
