Cheap Hotels in Saipan

Saipan is the northernmost island in the chain called the Northern Mariana Islands, a United States Commonwealth. Saipan is also the largest in the island chain as well as its capital. In terms of being a vacation destination, the main obvious draw is the plethora of beautiful beaches that line much of the small island. But this is also a place where high rollers come to gamble, so finding cheap hotels in Saipan can be a challenge.

The majority of the hotels on Saipan offer package deals, and market specifically to the kinds of tourists who book package vacations. Because Saipan is a popular vacation getaway destination for the Japanese, you can expect hotel rates to skyrocket during pretty much any Japanese holiday period. Conversely, outside those especially busy times, those hotels that once charged high rates become cheap hotels in Saipan seemingly overnight. So study up on your Japan holidays to know when not to book a trip to Saipan!

As with most islands, activities involving the water are particularly popular. The scuba diving and snorkeling in Saipan is excellent, and one of the major reasons people come to visit. For the people who are not so interested in the beaches and the water, there are five golf courses on the island, biking and hiking treks to be done in the northern mountains, and of course all the casinos and karaoke bars which are wildly popular among certain sets.

Some of the budget hotels in Saipain you might want to check out include The Valley Inn (fully furnished studios or normal hotel units, all have kitchenettes, everything from daily rates up through yearly rates), the Saipan Ocean View Hotel (87 rooms, located in Garapan on the beach road, walking distance to beach as well as shopping and night clubs, 15 minutes from airport, free airport pickup service available), Fiesta Resort & Spa (both mountain and ocean view rooms, spa and fitness center on site, "cultural dinner show" available), and World Resort Saipan (more than 250 rooms, spa and banquet hall on site, and a water park called the "Wave Jungle").
