Perhaps the biggest claim to fame for Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is that it is close enough to the birthplace of Dolly Parton that she built her famous amusement park – Dollywood – here. But this little town is about more than kitschy theme parks, it also claims the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as its next door neighbor, so it is a really popular tourist destination.
