Southern California is not lacking for tourist destination hotspots, but perhaps one of its more popular destinations – if for no other reason than it is usually crawling with the celebrities who live there – is Palm Springs. It is a resort city in almost every sense of the word, with lots of golf courses and swimming pools, and there are (of course) plenty of high end luxury hotels as well. But because this is a vacation destination for more than just the rich and famous, you will also find a good number of cheap hotels in Palm Springs, too.

Palm Springs is not only popular with Hollywood celebrities (one of whom even served as the city’s mayor), the city gets inundated each Spring Break by students (mainly those from the west coast), when both the expensive and the cheap hotels in Palm Springs get booked up months in advance.
