The island of Mallorca (or Majorca, depending on which you prefer) is a popular tourist destination, and the resort city of Magaluf is particularly popular with British holiday-makers. This is also the area with some of the island’s best-known night life hotspots, including several night clubs which attract well-known DJs. And although this resort town is often associated solely with package holidays, it is possible to find cheap hotels in Magaluf without booking a package deal.
The majority of the hotels in Magaluf (in all price ranges) are right in the resort itself, so everything is close by almost no matter where you are staying. And of course you can spend more on a four-star luxury hotel room, but if you are not bothered about elegance there are lots of options for cheap hotels in Magaluf. Besides, you will be spending most of your nights out dancing, right? So why bother spending a fortune on a hotel room?
During the summer, Magaluf caters primarily to the under-30 crowd (and we do not mean young kids, here, either!) with its night life and beaches, but family vacationers also find that Magaluf’s beaches are irresistible. If you are not intending to party all night, however, you will want to make sure you are in a quieter area and that your hotel does not have a night club downstairs. The high season in Magaluf runs from about April through October, so you can often find discounts on all classes of hotels outside that period.
A few of the cheap hotels in Magaluf that are worth checking out are Hotel Teix (a one-star hotel with 42 rooms a few meters from the beach), Sol Magaluf Park (three-star hotel with more than 400 rooms 150 meters from the beach), Hotel Samos (three-star hotel 250 meters from the beach, more than 400 rooms), Hotel Honolulu (on the hill between Palma Nova and Magaluf, three-star hotel with more than 200 rooms), and Hotel Marina Barracuda (three-star hotel with more than 260 rooms around 100 meters from the beach).
